In celebrating, connecting and transforming the lives of women: past, present and future. Each year, POWER recognizes courageous women of the past upon whose shoulders we stand and who lead the way in advancing reforms that build and empower communities. The tea works to honor and celebrate extraordinary Oakland citizens and institutions whose vision and leadership inspire, enrich, transform and empower our communities.
